Bernina Basics Guide Class

$14.99

Whether this is your first BERNINA or an update/upgrade, we want to help you learn useful features and functions of your machine.

Bernina Basics Guide Class is designed to provide Bernina owners with the fundamental skills required to use and maintain their sewing machine. This class will cover a range of topics from the basic functions of the machine, the use of various accessories, and troubleshooting common issues that may arise during the sewing process.

In this class, Lucy will teach you how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, adjust the stitch length and width, and select appropriate stitches for different fabric types. We’ll introduce the Status Bar, the very important Help button along with Set Up features.

In addition, you will learn how to clean and maintain your machine, as well as how to troubleshoot common issues you may encounter, such as tension problems, broken needles, and jammed machines. There's even more to learn before we finish the class with recommended cleaning and oiling, including the pain-free way to insert the hook.

By the end of this class, students will have gained the confidence and knowledge required to use their Bernina sewing machine to its fullest potential, and will be able to create beautiful and professional-looking projects!

This class is open to BERNINA owners who purchased a 4, 5, 7 or 8 series BERNINA machine at StitchHouse. All others, please contact us at 972-596-5628 to learn how to qualify for StitchHouse Guide and Stitch Collective classes.

What to bring to class:

Please bring your machine with the 9 mm stitch plate, foot control, power cable, Foot #1C, and #1D, the 3 spool caps, the grey spongy spool base, the oil and cleaning brush, small scissors or thread clips, and any other sewing supplies you use each time you sew. We encourage you to label each item with your name or initials. Stitchhouse will provide the fabric samples and thread unless you want to bring the thread you usually use with a matching bobbin.
